The Writers Studio at Chickadee Farm has evolved for all the right reasons—Bill and Vicki's love of writing, their love of teaching and their new-found love of their home in beautiful Hancock, New Hampshire. Just the thought of the project inspired them both as it seemed like the natural progression from their personal good fortune. Their inspiration is now a reality.

Bill Tapply and Vicki Stiefel are writers who love to teach and teachers who love to write. They enjoy seeing their own books in print, but they take equal pride in the successes of the other writers with whom they have worked. They are veterans of writing groups, writing classrooms, and one-on-one mentoring. Many of the writers they have assisted have gone on to become published authors.

Students will grow at their workshops. Bill and Vicki are committed to that end. Experience has convinced them both that an intimate workshop atmosphere, coupled with practical strategies and a healthy dose of inspiration, help both beginning novelists and long-time writers to grow and achieve their goals.

Bill and Vicki are eager to share their knowledge and experience and to provide participants with practical, down-to-earth writing tools that they can actually put in use. Vicki and Bill understand, too, that writers thrive on the support of other writers. At the workshops, participants will meet and interact with others like themselves. Many will form long-term, mutually supportive writing friendships.

The Writers Studio's aim is to energize each person's writing, to help each participant to develop a renewed sense of direction and commitment, and to show each one how to succeed.

For centuries, the Monadnock region has been a haven for artists, composers, and writers. When Bill and Vicki moved to New Hampshire, they couldn't quite believe how lucky their choice would prove to be. Travelers and sightseers journey here for the country quiet, for the woods and ponds and streams, for the art galleries and antiques and old inns, and, in the fall, for the spectacular foliage. They found new inspiration in the area.

They also found inspiration in their new home, Chickadee Farm. It felt like such a good and happy place to live...beautiful, tranquil, and for a pair of writers,...enormously inspirational. From the beginning, it felt like a place that would foster dreams and accomplishments.

Bill and Vicki are committed to the cornerstones of The Writers Studio at Chickadee Farm—for workshop participants to improve their skills . . . to free their minds . . . to fulfill their dreams . . . to achieve their goals . . . and to get published.
